After believing in life after love, apparently Grammy Award winner Cher also believes in the power of horror. In the most surprising news of the day, the 77-year-old decorated singer is set to produce a new horror extravaganza that is surely about to put the rest of the spooky catalog to shame. And with the acclaimed music superstar having son Chaz Bono by her side, it looks as though she’s got us (and the horror genre), babe.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter earlier today, the mother-and-son duo are teaming up to produce Little Bites — a crazed horror spectacle that centers around a scared and capable mother attempting to protect her daughter from a twisted, flesh-eating monstrous being. The engaging premise is exciting enough on its own, sure, but when you factor in genre veterans Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator) starring in the flick, then the ticket for success has definitely already been punched.
In the official THR statement, Chaz expressed the utmost excitement to be working alongside his mother, insisting that teaming up with Cher is simply “an extra bonus.” Because, let’s face it — who wouldn’t be absolutely thrilled to be helming a horror movie with their own mother? Goals on top of goals, right here.
Not much else has been revealed about the upcoming flick, but it’s worth noting that the project certainly revolves around doing whatever it takes for a mother to protect their child. And if the opportunity calls for a mother to courageously fend off a flesh-eating entity, then so be it.
