‘Indiana Jones 5’ has fans convinced you can never punch enough Nazis

Indiana Jones is back at it with his favorite recreational activity.

While the Kansas City Chiefs are battling the Philadelphia Eagles for the Holy Grail in Super Bowl LVII, Indiana Jones fans are talking about how nice it is to have Harrison Ford back in business for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

While Ford is busy shooting the Yellowstone spinoff, 1923, and popping in every once in a while to be a therapist on Shrinking, he found time to be in one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The last time we saw Dr. Jones was in 2008’s Indiana Jones was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Fans thirsty for more of the swashbuckling action will get their wish when Dial of Destiny is released on June 30.

After the Super Bowl trailer, fans are going crazy for one great line in particular: “Are you still a Nazi?”

Born in 1942, Harrison Ford would have been nine years old when Hitler came to power. He would not have been fighting the Nazis for real, but we can all dream that he put them in their place back then, can’t we?

Of course, the images of the atrocities the Nazis committed against the Jews have been so embedded in our heads that even a movie like Indiana Jones allows us to channel the fulfillment of kicking some Nazi behind.

A perfectly placed trailer at the right time will have more eyes marching into a theater on any given day. The Super Bowl provides that exposure, and it’s only wise to use it.

Fans of the original movie will never see it any other way. Indian Jones going against Nazis is what the movies are about. When they see this theme replicated, excitement is an understatement.

Some fans need to get their facts straight, but it’s okay to be wrong. Being a fan is good enough.

Ford’s fans will always love him no matter his age as long as he still has his hat, his whip, and his sharp wit.

Will the Nazis always exist? Not if it’s up to Indiana Jones in the minds of all the fans who have loved and adored him throughout the years.
