Is Tom Hanks dead?

Will future Tom Hanks' projects just feature an AI version of him?

Tom Hanks is an actor who has been beloved by all since he started his acting career in 1980. He’s starred in a number of notable titles, such as Forrest Gump, Toy Story, and The Da Vinci Code, just to name a few. Along with his acting career, Hanks has also produced a handful of projects, along with some new ones that will be released sometime in 2023 and onward.

But recently, Hanks made some comments that had people worried. During his interview with Adam Buxton in his podcast, Hanks claimed that people could see an AI version of him in future projects. He also said that this was inevitable since this was somewhat achieved in 3D animation projects like The Polar Express, and it won’t be long until others follow suit. With that in mind, people think that something’s wrong with the actor, but is it true?

Is Tom Hanks dead?

Hanks’ comments have people worried about the well-being of the actor since it sounded like he won’t be appearing in future projects, at least in person. He also pointed out the creative and legal ramifications of using this technology, where one could make Hanks look like he’s younger, but there’s also the argument of the intellectual rights of one’s body and voice. Regardless of what happens, Hanks believes that he could continue his career, even after his death.

Just because Hanks made comments about the future of AI doesn’t mean the actor is dead. Hanks is still alive and well. In fact, according to his Instagram, he just posted a photo two days ago and was an in a book signing last week for his book, The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece.

Just because an actor makes comments about AI and how it will affect their future career doesn’t mean they’re dead. It seems like Hanks is open to the idea of people using AI versions of him in future projects, and it’s up to the industry and his next of kin to resolve the creative and legal issues that arise when using this technology.
