Did the 'Wheel of Fortune' hosts pull a double departure?

Earlier this week, longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak announced his imminent retirement from the popular game show, sending faithful viewers into something of a tizzy. Indeed, following the conclusion of the show’s 41st season, which is set to begin this September, the host torch will be passed on to a new face, and Wheel of Fortune will never be the same again.

We all saw it coming, of course; Sajak has had musings on retirement for some time now, particularly since September 2022, when he then-cryptically revealed to ET Online that “We’re not gonna do this for another 40 years. The end is near.”

And with Sajak’s now-official announcement, folks have been wondering if his use of “we” back then was more intentional than it may have seemed; Vanna White, after all, is just as much of a Wheel of Fortune staple as her co-host, so one has to wonder if everyone’s favorite letter revealer is also on her way out.

Will season 41 of Wheel of Fortune also be Vanna White’s last?

Unlike her current co-host, White hasn’t publicly announced any plans to depart from Wheel of Fortune, so change-averse viewers can breathe a bit easier for the time being. She could announce her retirement from the show at any point now, of course, but if she had any immediate intentions, announcing them alongside Sajak would have made the most sense.

So for now, it looks like White will continue clapping beyond season 41, and for all we know, she might just end up taking Sajak’s spot as the host once that new era of Wheel of Fortune comes rolling around.
