The gossip circulating the net today suggested that McElhenney had cheated on his wife and co-star while in Wales, however, Olson was quick to respond and shut down the claim.

Olson joked that she’d been the one that cheated, although it wasn’t a woman in Wales, it was quite literally a whale. in a post to social media, Olson asked for privacy while she and McElhenney navigate the ‘difficult time.’

Further casting doubt on the internet rumor, McElhenney shared Olson’s post doubling down on her clarity, explaining that some of the details of the rumor were incorrect.

While it’s impossible for us to know for certain, given this response we can confidently say the rumors aren’t true, which I’m sure is welcome news for all of your Always Sunny fans as season 16 continues to roar through.

McElhenney plays Mac on the show alongside Olson who stars as Dee. The pair have been married since 2008 and have two children aged 11 and 12 together.

It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia has been going strong since 2005, this year airing its 16th season. The FX show airs new episodes each week through July available to stream on Hulu. If you’re not caught up, have no fear as all of the previous episodes are also right there to binge on the streamer.
