Whenever J.K Rowling decides to weigh into gender and identity politics, you can guarantee that controversy and backlash isn’t going to be too far behind, with the author repeatedly inciting online warfare by outlining her stance on the matter.

While everyone is entitled to express their opinion on whatever they want, the author’s anti-trans verbiage has seen her alienate a massive amount of her former fans, to the extent people are now demanding boycotts on any and all things Harry Potter, even if Rowling’s vast wealth has seen her make it perfectly clear she’s going to be laughing all the way to the bank whatever happens.

Just like clockwork, then, the latest chapter in the never-ending discourse has seen Rowling branded a “cult leader” for transphobics and TERFs everywhere, after she once more waded into the weeds of the cultural conversation.

Never one to go down without attempting to land a couple of punches of her own, Rowling ended up fully embracing the terminology, and began underlining the requirements necessary to join her cabal.

Not that Rowling needs 10 percent of anyone’s earnings when she’s constantly reminding the world how rich she is, but apparently dozens of husbands are also part of the deal when you get on board.

Of course, it wasn’t long before a self-proclaimed TERF arrived on the scene, where they were immediately welcomed in with open arms.

If you want to join J.K. Rowling’s cult, then it seems as though she’s willing to have you. For anyone else who isn’t losing their mind, stay as far away as possible from the Harry Potter creator’s timeline in general, because she’s not interested in whether it causes any offense or upset.
