For context, The Bear follows the life of a young chef Carmen Berzatto (White) forced to return home to Chicago after working in fine dining following an unexpected death to run his family’s sandwich shop. The show also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, Edwin Lee Gibson, Corey Hendrix, Richard Esteras, and many others.

Since The Bear‘s premiere on FX last summer, it has received positive reviews, and each episode has also earned 100% on average on Rotten Tomatoes. On July 7, a Twitter user named @amerikraut claimed that once White is ready to take his career to new heights, he should look into doing a biopic about the late actor Gene Wilder.

Although the exact reason behind the social media user’s suggestion wasn’t provided, many could assume it is because both men shared a physical resemblance. The tweet read, “Young man, whenever you’re ready, go get your Oscar.”

As the post began to circulate online and go viral, many expressed their thoughts about White and Wilder’s uncanny resemblance, and whether the 32-year-old would be a good fit to play the late star.

One individual claimed that if Hollywood doesn’t make this biopic happen with White playing Wilder, “it’s full of fools.”

At the same time, a second Twitter user disclosed that they didn’t know how much both men favored one another, and that White has the acting abilities to play Wilder.

Another social media user stated that they are manifesting this role for White into existence.

While a fourth person explained how much they would enjoy seeing the switch up for White because they felt that the star had been typecasted in his recent roles in Shameless and The Bear.

In 2016 when Wilder died from Alzheimer’s disease, Hollywood has only released a documentary titled Remembering Gene Wilder about his life. The film highlights Wilder’s early years, how he became the iconic character Willy Wonka on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and what occurred after he retired.

To date, there have been no talks of a biopic about Wilder’s life and career. But with the recent tweet’s popularity and many expressing their interest in seeing this happen, it may soon change.

At this time, White has yet to release any statement regarding the post.
