Lewis Capaldi takes to TikTok to poke fun at Taylor Swift and Matty Healy discourse

The irony of a fandom.

While the entire internet seems to be obsessing over Taylor Swift and Matty Healy’s alleged fling and wondering if what starts in beautiful rooms really does end up with meetings in parking lots, Lewis Capaldi is here with a take of his own to silence all the buzz.

The T-Swizzle is currently on a stadium rampage across the United States with her bejeweled outfits and enchanting vocals, reminding her fans and, to a larger extent, the pop culture community, as to why many folks delight in referring to her as the “music industry” itself.

The ongoing Eras Tour is unfortunately plagued by a completely new drama, however, in the form of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn’s abrupt breakup. Many media outlets have described this split as amicable, and though even Taylor herself is putting a brave face on the situation, Swifties are worried that their favorite singer/songwriter might be in a not-so-sensible headspace, especially after hearing rumors of a romantic association with British singer Matty Healy, who doesn’t have the best of reputations.

Well, since everyone seems to be chiming in on this debate, Lewis Capaldi is once again proving to us how “based” he is by pointing out the ridiculousness of it all.

“The world must hear what I have to say,” reads the caption, which seems an apt description for social media as a whole.

When Taylor said, “I don’t love the drama, it loves me!” We weren’t really ready to take her at her word, but now, that does increasingly seem to be the case as the singer tries to juggle her personal and professional lives and not let one overshadow the other. This is a crucial effort especially amid this ongoing tour, which is projected to become one of the highest-grossing in history.
