Mark Hamill pre-approves a pressing question all of Twitter wants Elon Musk to answer ASAP

No love lost between these two.

Ever since business tycoon Elon Musk purchased Twitter late last year, several massive changes have been implemented on the platform — one of which includes a strict policy on “legacy checkmarks” that Musk is aiming to place a cap on. And while the policy has been in effect since Musk took over the social media app, it’s become increasingly apparent that not every major celebrity on the site needs a check mark — especially Mark Hamill.

A few days ago, Musk took to his official Twitter account to warn users that the final date for blue check mark removal will be April 20. Afterward, folks will have the check mark removed from their official account if they don’t pay for one. Following Musk’s tweet, user @tomcoates hilariously quizzed the CEO on what sort of benefit Hamill would actually receive from keeping a seemingly pointless check mark on his profile.

Without even skipping a beat, the Star Wars legend supported the question at hand, because why in the world would an actor with a net worth of $18 million actually need Twitter Blue to remain in the media spotlight?

Hamill’s response is exactly what you’d expect, seeing as horror novelist Stephen King shared a similar response on the same day that Musk dared to hit send. And considering both men’s net worths are way over the million mark, paying for Twitter Blue would be a cake walk, if anything.

So, if Musk is confused at all, then let’s settle the score right now — Luke Skywalker never needed a blue checkmark to become relevant, and he won’t need one to stay relevant.
