Marvel still refusing to comment on Jonathan Majors, even in the face of fresh bombshell accusations

Anthony Mackie clearly didn't get the memo.

So far, Marvel’s approach to the Jonathan Majors controversy has been to say absolutely nothing, while simultaneously saying a lot.

Both the comic book conglomerate and Disney have remained steadfastly tight-lipped ever since the actor was first hit with allegations of abuse, but the way the studio has made moves to sweep his involvement in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania under the rug speaks volumes nonetheless.

He was omitted from the digital and VOD marketing campaign, while neither he nor his character Kang the Conqueror were named in the official Disney Plus synopsis for Quantumania. Not only that, but the streaming special focusing on the critical and commercial bomb due to debut last month was also delayed indefinitely for reasons that speak for themselves.

Following the latest bombshell report to emanate from Rolling Stone, the outlet revealed that it had reached out to Marvel in an effort to seek a statement on the matter. Sticking to the party line, “a rep for Marvel did not reply to Rolling Stone’s request for comment,” which was admittedly to be expected given the staunch refusal so far for either party to offer even the merest soundbite on the swirling scandal.

Anthony Mackie obviously didn’t get the memo, but with The Kang Dynasty having been pushed back by an entire year, Kevin Feige and his corporate overlords do at least have more time to make a decision, although it looks increasingly unlikely that Majors will return as the Multiverse Saga’s big bad.
