Meghan Trainor reveals the gender of her new baby on the ‘Kelly Clarkson show’

The couple had help from their two-year-old son, Riley.

Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor and actor Daryl Sabara are keeping up with tradition. Two years after initially announcing the gender of their first pregnancy during a Tuesday, April 25 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the “Mother” singer is doing it again.

Just before the reveal, the lights dimmed, and a spotlight appeared on the couple. “God’s” voice could be heard over the speakers as he requested that the reveal be done by the pair’s two-year-old son Riley. The sweet boy appeared in a video on a screen behind his parents and shouted, “It’s a boy!” as he threw his hands in the air. The audience immediately burst out in celebration along with host Kelly Clarkson

The 29-year-old entertainer has been enjoying motherhood, and the anticipation is only increasing as the family waits on their forthcoming bundle of joy. While talking to People earlier this month about her pregnancy journey, the Dear Future Mama author gushed over the thought of Riley having a sibling, telling the outlet, “I look at my husband and go, ‘We are so lucky.'”

The veteran songwriter shared that during this time, “I’m the best version of me.” However, what the “Title” singer seems to be most amped about is getting familiar with various sides of her personality that she never knew she had. The musician geeked about how each of her kids were “going to bring a new version of me,” so much so that she thinks the experience is “going to be bada**.” However, just for good measure, the star said, “I need four, at least!”
