‘Ms. Marvel’ actor accused of sexual harassment, privates Twitter account

The actor has been accused of grooming a teenage girl.

Actor Mohan Kapur has been accused of sexual harassment and grooming a teenage girl via a thread that the victim shared on Twitter. Both Kapur’s and his alleged victim’s accounts have since been made private on the platform.

The victim who goes by the handle Shania on Twitter detailed how Kapur and his ex-partner befriended her when she was fourteen years old, and how Kapur took advantage of her. The Ms Marvel and Bollywood actor allegedly sent unsolicited pictures of his genitals to Shania and repeatedly made verbal advances toward her.

Shania allegedly approached Kapur’s ex-partner about the actor’s behavior, only to be met with a hostile response and gaslighting. Shania detailed how the entire ordeal left her depressed and suicidal and had a sense of feeling trapped and “in the wrong” in her relationship with Kapur. When Shania allegedly confronted Kapur, the actor was dismissive and told her “he can’t trust her,” per shethepeople.

Kapur himself has not addressed the allegations, however, has made his Twitter account private since the allegations came to light. Kapur played Yusuf Khan in the Marvel miniseries Ms. Marvel on Disney Plus as protagonist Kamala Khan’s father.
