Normal service resumes as J.K. Rowling ends up knee-deep in ‘libelous’ ideological warfare yet again

Her silence was nice while it lasted.

Having recently made a rare show of sympathy – no matter how sarcastic it may have been – when she reacted to a man named Harry Potter being arrested for crack possession, J.K. Rowling has since resumed normal service on her Twitter timeline by wading into gender politics yet again.

The author has done a phenomenal job of eroding the popularity that comes with creating one of the most successful pop culture juggernauts there’s ever been by way of her stance on the transgender community, and rarely does she miss an opportunity to dive headfirst into the weeds of ideological warfare.

As fate would have it, she’s back at it again after an opinion piece caught her eye, one that accused anti-trans protestors of making Nazi salutes while trying to “push their agenda.” Needless to say, it didn’t take long for things to get heated as both sides weighed in with their opinions, although Rowling did cry foul and weaponize the word “libelous” more than once to try and get her point across.

There’s an awful lot of mud-slinging going on around the situation, but the fact it’s a high-profile figure like Rowling leading the opposition has seen the argument explode. That comes with the territory when the undisputed overlord of TERFs everywhere decides to get involved with one of her favorite subjects, regardless of how often she ends up being dragged over hot coals for sharing her thoughts on the matter.

Sticking to her day job as a writer would be the best course of action, but everyone knows that’s not going to happen.
