While Pedro Pascal has been front and center on television for the past month and a half thanks to his role in The Last of Us, his true dominance is about to begin – when his aforementioned HBO drama overlaps with the season three premiere of The Mandalorian.
The star is currently doing the media circuit spruiking the next entry in Din Djarin’s story. In a fun chat, Pascal quipped about not being able to see through his iconic helmet before broaching the subject of his ‘daddy of the internet’ status during an interview with Good Morning Britain:
Despite once upon a time (and not all that long ago) straight-up staring down the barrel of a camera and declaring – “I’m your daddy,” Pascal was a little bit more shy about his moniker when chatting with the breakfast show:
“I’m the daddy of the internet, and I have no kids – so I don’t know what they’re talking about!”
Kids or no kids, it would appear that “daddy” is a state of mind for Pascal, at the very least when he’s acting and escorting children of high importance around dangerous star systems and/or post-apocalyptic wastelands. Of course, fans are already debating which of his two roles he pulls off better.
We’ll be seeing him again in the next episode of The Last of Us this Sunday on HBO Max, and again on Wednesday when he dons his Beskar steel armor in The Mandalorian on Disney Plus.
