Prince Harry accepts grim reality that he needs to ditch Meghan as she ‘only complicates things’

Prince Harry is apparently ready to do whatever it takes to return to royal life.

It looks like Prince Harry may finally have accepted that he can’t have his cake and eat it too. If he wants reconciliation with his family in the U.K. it’s going to come at a cost, and the cost is Meghan.

The Duke of Sussex is reportedly planning a solo trip back to the U.K. According to RadarOnline it’s all part of a bid to heal the fractured relationship he has with the royals. Insiders claim that his latest plan has stemmed from his realization that if he is to re-build bridges with his father, brother and other royals then he’ll have to leave his wife out of the equation, at least for the time being.

Harry has realized what must be done

The insiders claimed that the prince had “totally accepted” the fact that if any healing were to come about, it would have to start without Meghan at the table. Although he may not like it, it really is his only option if he wants to keep communication open with his family.

“Harry didn’t expect the fallout to drag on this long. He’s beginning to see that including Meghan only complicates things with the royals, so he’s accepted – though not happily – that going it alone might be the only option for now.”

They added that Harry was willing to do whatever the royal family were comfortable with, be it one-on-one conversations, mediation, or even video calls; he’s simply hoping for a line of communication. This comes after months and months of supposed radio silence from King Charles and Prince William, something Harry has publicly expressed his frustration over a few times now.

This is the only way back into the royal fold

This marks a significant shift in Harry’s approach as the source stated, “He’s finally realized that the way he handled things before hasn’t brought any progress.” While the prince has been fiercely loyal towards his wife “he knows he will have to make a trip back to Britain without her with his tail between his legs and begging bowl in his hands.” If he does this, there’s a good chance his family will accept him.

Harry and Meghan stepped away from royal life more than five years ago. At the start of 2020 the couple moved to California to set up their new life away from the firm and while Meghan seems to have flourished in the place she’s always known as home, Harry is reportedly feeling “totally lost in America.”

Harry has also extended an invitation to his family for the 2027 Invictus Games, something which he usually attends with Meghan. It seems the Prince is willing to accept that he may have to choose between his royal relatives or his wife and at the moment it’s looking like the royals may win out over his wife. Where that leaves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship remains to be seen but it seems Harry has finally reached his breaking point and things are starting to change.
