Prince Harry and King Charles might become son and father again, but the world of reality TV won’t let them

That too just when the two seem ready to end the feud.

A new reality TV series called The Real Housewives of London is about to take a bold and mocking swipe at the ongoing tension between the Royal Family and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A recently released trailer for the show, which premieres on Hayu, features cast member Panthea Parker planning to directly question King Charles about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In the trailer found by Express, Parker is shown riding in a car with her husband, British lawyer Ed Parker, on their way to what looks like a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Panthea boldly says, “I’m going to go, ‘How do you feel about Harry and what he did?'” Her husband quickly cuts in with a funny reply, pretending to read from a pamphlet: “It says, specifically, ‘Do not ask the monarch about Harry and Meghan.'”

This pointed joke comes at a time when there have been recent reports about possible efforts to mend the relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles. The Royal Family’s public split with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began in 2020 when Harry and Meghan stepped away from their royal duties. The situation grew even more intense after their revealing Netflix documentary and Harry’s memoir, Spare, which shared private details about the family.

British TV isn’t letting up on royal issues

Last week, rumors of a possible reconciliation started after senior advisors from both sides met in London. The meeting included the Duke of Sussex’s new chief of staff, Meredith Maines, and King Charles’ communications secretary, Tobyn Andreae. Liam Maguire, who handles UK press for Harry and Meghan, was also there.

The private discussions happened on the balcony of the Royal Over-Seas League club. However, Prince Harry’s team has denied being the source of leaked information about the meeting after details and photos appeared in the news recently.

The Real Housewives of London will run for 10 episodes, following the lives of six wealthy women from London: Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker, and Nessie Welschinger. Comedian Katherine Ryan, age 41, is set to host the reunion special at the end of the series.
