Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have paid their respects to Queen Elizabeth II as the Commonwealth mourns the loss of its longest-reigning ruler.

Markle and Harry may have effectively emancipated themselves from the Royal Family, but the duo’s company Archewell has updated its entire website to pay tribute to Her Majesty. No links are available, with every page on the site redirecting to a page mourning her loss.

The couple have been working on Archewell for over a year, with it intended to start up several media productions including one series which got axed by Netflix earlier in 2022.

Prince Harry was unable to make it to Balmoral in time to see his grandmother’ before she passed, with him travelling to Scotland alone as the Duchess was not seen with him. The couple’s relationship with the Royal Family has been tricky following their exit from the duties, with commentators split.

Markle had previously spoken out against being bullied while she was in the Royal Family following her wedding to Harry. The British media were heavily skewed against the Duchess, with the former Hollywood actress not welcomed the same way others had been into the family. Conversely, Markle is also alleged to have bullied several personal assistants out of Kensington Palace.

The death of the Queen and incoming coronation of King Charles III will mean their children will become prince and princess in theory: but this too could change. Other questions still in the air include what will become of the Queen’s Birthday holiday, as well as what it means for the remaining Commonwealth nations.
