Prince Harry getting ‘desperate’ for royal reunion, but King Charles is ‘more guarded than ever’

Prince Harry still has a long way to go before his father trusts him again.

Prince Harry’s latest maneuver indicates that he is “desperate” for reconciliation according to a royal expert. However, King Charles is not one to be swayed so easily as the monarch apparently remains incredibly “cautious and wary” when it comes to placing trust in his youngest son.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Hilary Fordwich claimed that Harry’s recent gesture, which saw him share his schedule with the Palace in order to avoid conflicts with future engagements, indicates that the Prince is desperate. The move was praised for being “a practical move that will be appreciated” according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. However, not everyone is convinced.

Harry’s gesture isn’t enough to win back his family’s trust

Fordwich claims that King Charles is still very much maintaining his distance from Harry, calling the Prince’s gesture “self-serving.”

“While this self-serving gesture is notable, it won’t do much to mitigate suspicion and caution on the royal side… King Charles III is now more guarded than ever, indeed somewhat traumatized by a string of betrayals.”

Fordwich goes on to say that Palace insiders have claimed that the king “has expressed being ‘cautious and wary’ regarding fearing further unsavory leaks,” one of his main concerns is apparently “private royal family gatherings being publicized yet again.”

The meeting between Harry and Charles’ representatives earlier this month is just one example of a private event somehow being leaked to the press and quickly becoming public knowledge. Clearly King Charles does not trust that it is not his own son giving out information. This has been a concern of the royal family for a long time and it seems it’s something that will remain a point of serious contention in the future.

Prince William also isn’t fully on board

According to Fordwich, Charles isn’t the only one who is hesitant to trust Harry again, apparently “doubt still prevails in Prince William’s camp.” In fact, you could go as far as to say William is outright against bringing his younger brother back into the royal fold as the royal expert claims “He considers any reconciliation at all as a ‘grave mistake.’”

William is very protective of his father although it seems his father may not appreciate his son meddling as experts claimed that the king’s decision to cut the Prince of Wales out of peace talks with Harry may have been a power play to let him know who’s in charge.

While the concept of peace between the Sussexes and the Palace still seems a long way off, these small steps all seem to be going in the right direction. Harry seems to be doing all he can to prove himself to his father and so far it looks like Charles is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, even if he does remain somewhat cautious.
