Prince Harry may visit the UK more often as he’s ‘not given up hope’ that he can bring Meghan and their kids back

Harry still wants to be able to bring his family to the U.K.

Prince Harry still has his hopes set on bringing his family back to the U.K. at some point in the future despite all the potential issues with security and the current rift that exists between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.

The last few months have seen a significant shift in the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the firm. It started with a meeting between representatives for Harry and Charles back in July, and now, in a monumental development, the father and son have finally met face to face for the first time in almost two years.

If things continue with the current trajectory then perhaps we could see a full royal reconciliation between Harry and his family. However, the prince wants to take it a step further and potentially open the door for his wife and children to be welcomed back to the U.K. too.

What does Prince Harry want?

According to reports that quoted Harry’s friends, the prince is eager to make more frequent trips to the U.K. after spending so much time away. However, he doesn’t want to do it alone, according to his friends, he wants to “bring his family back to the UK.”

It seems that despite the bad blood between the family and all the challenges that would come with returning to the U.K. Harry has “not given up hope on bringing his family back to the UK,” as he wants to have a stronger connection between his family and his own upbringing.

“He wants to be able to show his children where he grew up. He wants them to know their family here. He really would like to come back to the UK much more.”

This is in stark contrast to what the prince was saying back in May. Although he admitted to missing the U.K., he told the BBC, “I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point.” It seems the reconciliation efforts have boosted his confidence and perhaps he now believes that bringing his family over is an actual possibility.

How likely is this to happen?

While recent developments are promising, Harry still has more than a few hurdles to overcome. First of all, his brother, William, who is still on the fence about forgiving him let alone Meghan. It seems that welcoming Meghan back is totally out of the question for William. The same goes for many in the palace who simply don’t trust her.

On top of that, the British public are not particularly fond of Meghan either. Also, it’s questionable whether Harry’s wife would even want to come back, especially after how she’s been demonized almost from the very start. Perhaps Harry should temper his expectations for now.
