Prince Harry’s pal speaks out against ‘disgusting’ comments against King Charles, admits the duke will never stop

Did Harry alienate yet another friend?

Prince Harry continues to receive flak for his ill-judged BBC interview in which he made some rather controversial statements about his father. A friend of the duke’s has even come out to say that they are “disgusted” by Harry’s remarks.

The apparent friend of the prince, who remained anonymous, recently spoke out against Harry, condemning the comments he made about King Charles.

“I don’t know what’s more disgusting Harry’s comment about his father’s health or his suggestion that people want him dead.”

The prince’s comments rubbed many the wrong way but for one of his supposed “friends” to say this suggests he may have gone too far this time. The friend also went on to comment on the recent court ruling which saw Harry lose his appeal for security in the U.K. “It’s very sad, but we all know that he doesn’t want to hear things he disagrees with.” Harry himself has stated that “there are some people out there, probably most likely the people that wish me harm, [who] consider this a huge win.”

What were the comments?

In an interview on Sunday the duke had expressed his desire for reconciliation with his father, stating that he did not know “how much longer” his father had left to live. Charles was diagnosed with cancer last year, however, he and Prince Harry have not been in contact for a long time now.

The comments come after Harry lost his court appeal to have his security reinstated in the U.K. The judge ultimately decided that there was no legal case, even if he could understand the prince’s worries. Seemingly frustrated by the decision, as well as the lack of communication from his father, Harry opted to give an interview where he publicly aired his grievances as well as expressed his concerns over his father’s health.

His statement comes in stark contrast to the message put out by the palace, which is one of positivity. Charles was seen over the bank holiday weekend celebrating VE Day with those who spoke with him reporting he was “on form” throughout the day. So are Harry’s comments intentionally meant to cause upset? Or do they come from a place of genuine concern?

“Harry’s behaviour is unforgivable”

Another former friend of the prince, Ben Goldsmith, recently called out Harry’s comments too. In a post to X he called them “unforgivable”

Harry admits that he fears some royals may never forgive him but perhaps he’d be in with a shot if he could just stop stirring the pot and bringing everything to the public’s attention.

Whatever prompted him to make those comments it’s safe to say it was a mistake on Harry’s part. The decision to take part in the interview is part of the reason why the royal family have lost trust in the prince. While he may be hoping for reconciliation, it seems Harry’s family and friends are tired of his antics.
