Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s first child has finally had his name revealed, and it’s sure to resonate with music fans everywhere.
The Wu-Tang Clan inspired the name for the celebrity couple’s son according to a report from the Daily Mail. His full name is said to be RZA Athelston Mayers. For those who aren’t familiar, RZA is the name of the rapper, producer, and leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.
In their report, the Daily Mail cites a birth certificate they acquired seemingly showing the child’s birth name. While neither Rihanna nor Rocky have come out and confirmed the child’s name yet, internet sleuths believe that there has been plenty of indication for it being authentic. Before and since his birth, Rihanna has been pictured multiple times wearing Wu-Tang merch.
One factor of the birth certificate that is causing some confusion is the child’s middle name Athelston which appears to be inspired by his father’s middle name Athelaston but is not exactly the same.
With the child’s name seemingly being inspired by the Wu-Tang Clan, it begs the question, how big a fan are the couple? While there are seemingly no answers to this right now, Rocky has in the past collaborated with members of Wu-Tang including Raekwon on the 2015 song “Fly International Luxurious Art.”
Now that the reports are out there, perhaps we’ll get an official name reveal from the couple sometime soon. Rihanna and Rocky’s family is only set to get bigger as RiRi is currently expecting a second child later this year.
