Ryan Reynolds allegedly replaces Keanu Reeves as the source of Matthew Perry’s miscellaneous fury

Reynolds wasn't in the memoir, though.

Despite starring in one of the most popular and beloved TV shows of all-time and undergoing a very public battle with alcohol and drugs that raged on for years, arguably the single biggest talking point to emerge from Matthew Perry‘s memoirs was apparently his completely random and unfounded hatred of Keanu Reeves.

Conspiracy theories alleged that it was tied to River Phoenix somehow, with both actors being close friends of the rising star before his untimely passing, but the Friends veteran claimed the action icon’s name was uttered more than once completely at random. It might be water under the bridge, but Ryan Reynolds is allegedly next in the firing line.

Of course, we should note that it hasn’t been substantiated, confirmed, or corroborated in an official opportunity, but prestigious outlet Radar Online explaining that Perry reportedly hates Reynolds with a burning passion for piggybacking on his screen persona to further his own career dating right back to Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place is simply too insane not to dive into, especially the way those “unnamed sources” put it to the outlet.

“Matthew hasn’t resolved his feelings about this for the last 25 years. That series set the template for Ryan’s whole voice as a performer and eventually as a writer and producer. It bugs Matthew so much that Ryan never even gave him a single mention. That’s all it would have taken. Now, does Matthew think he should have had Ryan’s career? No, he’s pretty honest about how his own drug use messed up his life and nearly killed him.”

Look, we’re not suggesting for a second you buy into this, but Ryan Reynolds imitating Matthew Perry 25 years ago in a sitcom being directly responsible for his current success as one of the biggest stars in the business is so ludicrous that you can’t help but wonder who these “insiders” are and where they get their information.
