A dad joke is helping Stephen King learn the truth about Jesus

America’s favorite horror writer, dog enthusiast, and dad joker is at it again. The Shining author Stephen King took to his go-to messaging platform, Twitter, to share a pretty good Dad joke about the Christian religion.

He retweeted fellow novelist Ray Garton, who tweeted that it must be hard for Jesus, the savior of the Christian religion, to get anything done because he’s always getting lost.

Listen, no one’s arguing the validity of the joke is up there with Richard Pryor’s material, but the chuckle-inducing aphorism was good enough to elicit a response from one of the most successful authors of all time.

“I hadn’t thought of it that way, but yeah,” King said. “Yeah!” This of course elicited some fun responses from people, including the following cartoon.

Someone else tagged prolific fantasy writer Neil Gaiman. Cause why not?
