Stephen King is exactly as enthusiastic for the war between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg as you’d imagine

Hey, Stephen, your ambivalence is showing.

Even though we’re still waiting to discover whether or not they really will end up duking it out in hand-to-hand combat, the battle between social media titans Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has continued escalating regardless.

With Threads having recently launched to take Twitter on and potentially usurp it as the social media app of choice for millions of users around the world, the blows are already being landed by Zuck without even having to go through an extensive Rocky-like training montage to take on Elon in a duel to the death.

It’s been one of the biggest talking points on the internet this week, but Stephen King absolutely could not care any less. In fact, the legendary horror author’s apathy is positively seeping from every single character he mustered to react to the ongoing war between the concerningly pale billionaires.

He wasn’t done there, either, with the titan of terror than invoking the name of Oscar Wilde, which took a turn for the unexpected when none other than the Chief Twit himself popped up in the replies to demand answers from the bestselling novelist and one-man subgenre.

Rather hilariously, King didn’t even bother to respond to Elon muscling in on his Twitter feed, which only underlined his stance on the subject even further. Regardless of whether he stays on the bird app, emigrates to Threads, or simply abandons all forms of social media altogether, the bad news for the mastermind behind a litany of classics is that the conflict between Zuckerberg and Musk has only just begun.
