If you make a point of getting on the wrong side of Stephen King, then you can be damn sure he’s going to let you know.
Whether it’s high-profile arch-nemesis Donald Trump and his ongoing buffoonery, his general distaste for whatever rhetoric the conservative side of the political divide is spewing out at any given moment, his outspoken stance on gun control, or even his freshly-minted new source of irritation “Dan Bongo,” the author isn’t shy in taking people to task if they catch his ire.
Surprisingly, then, the titan of terror has decided against naming Elon Musk specifically in his latest exasperated social media post, after it was asked whether or not King was “just a freak” for the way his tweets end up being spaced when he posts them online.
Many of the scribe’s online musings tend to be double-spaced without any real rhyme or reason, which never seemed to make any sense when you imagine that he above all people would be a stickler for punctuation being nothing less than 100 percent accurate. As it turns out, it’s the bird app to blame, even if its current owner and all-round mastermind behind the site’s staggering fall from grace has escaped the direct wrath of the spooky stalwart.
Maybe next time Elon will end up taking the brunt of the blame, but for now, King has at least laid inquisitive minds to rest as to why someone who makes their living from the printed page would laugh in the face of common sense to format their tweets in such an idiosyncratic and eccentric fashion.
