Rihanna has blown us all away once more, and it isn’t just to do with her phenomenal Super Bowl halftime performance. The singer broke the internet as it was confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child, and whilst there are congratulations to be had there is some despair amongst fans as well.
This stems from a worry that the pregnancy means that we won’t be getting another album any time soon, and fans feel they have been waiting for so long already. The artist’s last album, Anti, was released in 2016, and since then she has focused on her Fenty empire which includes a cosmetic line and a lingerie line. She also gave birth to her first child in May 2022 with rapper A$AP Rocky and it now looks like their first child will be getting a sibling soon.
Though we are sure the artist is exceedingly happy to welcome her unborn into the world she has a whole lot of other babies that are crying for her attention — her fans. With the news coming as a shock to many they have quickly turned to despair at the thought of having to wait even longer for another album from the Barbadian singer.
Some were hoping for a different kind of announcement.
Many were uncertain at first, with suspicions rising throughout the performance.
This would be one of the weirder ways to announce a new album for sure, certainly adds a new meaning to birthing art.
Some are directing their anger at the father.
This fan drew some comparisons between Rihanna’s performers rushing onto the field with the — ahem — miracle of conception.

All jokes aside, it is fantastic news for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky and her performance simply proves that you can never, ever, underestimate what a pregnant woman can do. That being said, do offer your seat on public transport if you see they need one, this isn’t an excuse to not allow them to rest their feet!
