Based on nothing but the reactions on the internet any time he says or does anything, Chris Pratt‘s online popularity is hardly reflective of his status as a bona fide A-list superstar.
After all, his track record of box office success is one of the best in the business, and yet he’d almost certainly come out on top in any poll that designates a ranking of Hollywood’s marquee Chrises from worst to best. His outspoken religious beliefs often rub people the wrong way, too, but he’s entitled to think however he wants about whatever he sees fit, no matter how hilarious it is that he sent James Gunn a prayer after he was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 while Dave Bautista determined the best course of action was to publicly call Disney fascists.
Divine intervention doesn’t stretch all the way to his grammar it would seem, after Pratt posted a passage from the Bible to celebrate a day of doing Chris Pratt things – namely huntin’ and fishin’ and wearin’ big-ass sunglasses – with a fairly large spelling mistake that indicates he might have wanted to run Psalm 23:2 through Autocorrect.
Pratt has even addressed his critics head-on by offering that people hated Jesus, too, although that hasn’t stopped him from very recently being pitted against Shazam! star Zachary Levi in a battle of which superhero shared universe alumni can generate the most controversy and backlash online. The lord sure isn’t his shephard, that’s for sure, but we doubt grammar is dubbed a cardinal sin by the dude upstairs.
