In recent years, the name Travis Barker has hogged headlines relentlessly after the announcement that he was dating socialite and entrepreneur Kourtney Kardashian hit all the right internet circles. From that moment forward, Barker’s career as the Blink-182 drummer was almost overshadowed by the consistent flashing lights that pursue the Kardashians and all those they associate with.
Questions immediately started imploding among fans who might have never heard of either the oldest Kardashian or Barker, but everyone quickly noticed that despite their strikingly different aesthetics, the duo had much more in common than anticipated. Who is Atiana De La Hoya?
While at first glance, Hoya and Barker’s close relationship may be reminiscent of a father and daughter, Hoya is actually not biologically Barker’s daughter – even if their unbreakable bond hints at it. Hoya is actually the daughter of boxer legend Oscar De La Hoya, and former pageant queen Shanna Moakler. Born on March 29, 1999, Moakler and Oscar split just a year after their daughter was born. Following their split, Moakler and Travis announced their relationship, thus starting Barker’s fatherly duties towards his step-daughter, whom he raised from a young age.
Hoya would go on to have two more step-siblings, Landon Barker and Alabama Barker, before the couple divorced in 2008. Despite no longer being together, Hoya and Barker have maintained an unbreakable bond only shared between a father and his child. Moreover, it appears that his loyalty has extended to his current wife, who has also embraced Hoya as one of her own.
Aside from having celebrities as parents, Hoya has also started making a name for herself. The step-daughter of Barker will soon have her acting debut in Maya, a thriller expected to be released soon, which is currently in post-production. It will not be the first time, however, anyone will have seen her face on the screen. In 2022, the actress also made a few appearances in Meet the Barkers and The Kardashians, where she was filmed alongside her stepfather and the rest of the Kardashians.
