Audiences and critics are in stark disagreement about No Hard Feelings, Jennifer Lawrence’s latest comedy hit.
While critics are largely blasting the film as a misfire, landing it a measly 63 percent Tomatometer score, audiences are far more favorable. They’re gracing the flick with a shining 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and in the process are stirring up interest around its stars. No one is confused as to who Jennifer Lawrence — of The Hunger Games, Don’t Look Up, and the new X-Men movies, to name a few — is, but far fewer audience members are familiar with her co-star, Andrew Barth Feldman. The up-and-coming star is still cutting his teeth in Hollywood, but his experience on stage showcases just how much talent the young star brings to the table.
Who is Andrew Barth Feldman?
Feldman’s been acting for a handful of years now, but he is inarguably still in the early days of his career. Even on stage, where the star got his start, Feldman has only been a staple for around five years, but he’s already earned himself plenty of fans.
The star’s burgeoning career is no surprise, when his age is considered. Feldman is still a fresh-faced 21, which means his earliest appearances were when the young American was in his mid-to-late teens. Those appearances largely saw him appearing on stage — including on Broadway — before branching out into television, film, and music.
Feldman is still in college — attending Harvard University — in part due to an initial deferment (the COVID-19 pandemic strikes again) and then again due to a semester off for filming of No Hard Feelings. His output will likely be somewhat sparse over the next few years, as he works to find a balance between school and work, but once he graduates audiences should expect to see far more of Feldman.

Audiences likely recognize Feldman from a few of his former projects, most notably his stint on Broadway’s production of Dear Evan Hansen, in which he played the title role, and his recurring guest role on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He’s appeared in a few scattered projects outside of these major releases, including the COVID-era webseries Stars in the House, his pair of 2023 rom-coms A Tourist’s Guide to Love and, of course, No Hard Feelings, and a smattering of stage productions like Catch Me If You Can and the deeply online Ratatouille the Musical.
