‘Why hasn’t Meghan come out batting?’: Meghan Markle encouraged to support her husband over charity row

Meghan has not offered any public support for her husband despite the fact Prince Harry is obviously in pain.

Meghan Markle has come under fire for not supporting her husband, Prince Harry, over his Sentebale charity row which saw the duke step away from his role earlier this year.

Harry was accused of harassment, bullying, and even racism by the charity’s chair, Dr. Sophie Chandauka earlier this year. The ensuing argument between the two parties ultimately led to Harry making the voice to step away from the charity which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso almost 20 years ago.

This month the Charity Commission released the findings of the investigation into the matter. It placed blame on both parties for allowing the situation to get so out of control as well as allowing it to play out in such a public fashion. However, there was no evidence of the supposed harassment and bullying which Chandauka accused the prince of.

Meghan Markle has been silent on the matter so far

Despite the ongoing battle between Harry and Sophie Chanduaka, Meghan has so far remained silent on the subject which has been picked up on by royal observers. Historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop told the Mirror that Meghan’s refusal to speak on the matter is very telling.

While Meghan has spoken about her recent Netflix deal she hasn’t addressed the issue which has apparently devastated her husband, Tessa asks, “Now that Meghan and Harry have signed a new Netflix deal, might the Duchess find her voice?” Dunlop continues to press her point pointing out that Harry has spoken out in support of his wife on multiple occasions.

“No, really, why hasn’t Meghan come out batting for Prince Harry in his latest round of verbal fisty-cuffs concerning his former African charity? After all, the Duke has consistently spoken out in support of his wife.”

She points to Harry’s move to condemn the British media early on in his and Meghan’s relationship, defending his wife from the press from the very start.

Harry needs support

While he may have been cleared of wrongdoing by the charity commission, the prince is no doubt still hurting over the loss of something which was very important to him. Dr. Chandauka is still running the Sentebale charity “the Duke could really do with some public TLC, especially from his wife.”

Meghan recently claimed that she felt she regained her voice after stepping away from the royal family. She returned to Instagram and has been using her voice to promote her brand but Dunlop believes that it would be better used to show some vocal support for Harry. She implies that Meghan’s lack of encouragement reveals her lack of awareness to her husband’s pain, she asks, “does she see her spouse? Does she hear his pain? Does she envisage a way forward for the troubled Duke?”
