Everyone on the internet has seen or at least heard of Hasbulla Magomedov. For the last couple of years, the notable UFC fighter has made quite a name for himself as plenty of videos showing his crazy lifestyle have been posted online. Many of these videos have become memes themselves, with his recent and odd encounter with Mike Tyson making the rounds online. However, fans of Hasbulla were shocked to learn that the 20-year-old was arrested in Russia on the 8th of May. But why exactly was he arrested?

Hasbulla was celebrating a wedding in his hometown of Dagestan in Russia when he and his friends were arrested for breaking traffic laws. The internet star and his friends had blocked off a road in the town to perform donuts. Apparently it’s quite a common occurrence in Dagestan, as there isn’t much else to do. Despite it apparently being quite a frequent event, it’s still obviously very illegal, which prompted the local police to put a stop to it.

The whole group was arrested, although we know that Hasbulla has since been freed and placed under house arrest. Further details about his arrest or the length of time he will remain under house arrest have yet to be revealed.

Ironically, Hasbulla recently stated that he wanted to become the minister of internal affairs so that he could abolish “nonsense” traffic laws.

The internet celebrity later apologized and specified that it was not him driving the vehicle. He also promised that it would not happen again. As it stands, it seems he was simply arrested for his involvement in the incident rather than being the actual perpetrator.
