When it comes to naming two of the least popular superhero stars among certain sections of the internet, you don’t have to look much further than Zachary Levi and Chris Pratt to find a pair of spandex-clad veterans who often tend to rub people the wrong way.
It’s largely down to their personal beliefs, with Pratt’s zeal for all things religious admittedly markedly different from Levi’s outspoken stance on vaccination. James Gunn even weighed in on the latter’s controversies when he first announced the slate for the DCU’s Chapter 1: Gods & Monsters, but looking at how Shazam! Fury of the Gods ended up as one of the biggest bombs the comic book genre had experienced in a long while, you’d have to think not even their friendship guarantees a return to the fold.
And yet, Pratt and Levi have found themselves intertwined and being pitted against each other in a battle nobody really wants to be a part of, after it was reportedly uncovered on social media that the presumably former Billy Batson has been liking and following anti-LGBTQ+ accounts on the bird app, which obviously isn’t the greatest of optics during Pride Month.
Of course, Pratt has been accused of being anti-LGBTQ+ himself on more than one occasion due to his ties to the controversial Hillsong Church, but you know Levi has pissed people off when the Guardians of the Galaxy headliner is being used as the counterweight in an argument between which one of the two can be deemed the most unpalatable.
