Whether Pedro Pascal cares for constant references to his unofficial “daddy of the internet” moniker or not, when the man offers up lemons by way of adding dad shorts to his ensemble for his 2023 Met Gala look, the internet will make lemonade. As such, the king of television during this year’s first quarter continues to enrapture the world at large with his big dad energy.
Pascal arrived at the glamorous event looking quite dapper with slicked back hair and an eye-catching red overcoat and matching shirt, complimented by a black tie. What’s really gotten everyone’s attention is what’s happening from the waist down, though – with The Last of Us star rocking black mid-thigh shorts and some lengthy boots and socks. In other words, business up top, late 20th century dad down bottom. We’re so here for it.
The 2023 Met Gala is being held in honor of late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, and this year’s star-studded guest list has been arriving in droves, each with their own unique way of paying reverence to Lagerfeld. Some of the celebrities present decided to take it upon themselves to show off some subtle (and not so subtle) nods to Lagerfeld’s cat – from a prosthetic cat nose on Doja Cat, to a straight-up cat costume on Jared Leto.
