The numbers don’t lie – “Lean On” will be, for most EDM fans, the festival season anthem of 2015. Diplo took a very necessary break from the Jack Ãœ project to don his Major Lazer persona and team up with French hitmaker DJ Snake on the track, and between both artists’ penchants for putting out highly successful tracks, it was clear as day that the fruits of their labor would result in something record breaking.

Case in point: In addition to reaching #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the charts of various countries outside the United States, Spotify declared “Lean On” its most streamed song of all time with over 526 million streams globally. When people talk about electronic music in 2015, you can almost bet that they’ll hear the song’s simple melody and carefree lyrics bounce around in their heads.
