KFC customer becomes ‘upset’ over gravy and asks to speak with a manager, but moments later, an employee is fighting for their life

A shocking act of violence erupted at a KFC in North Las Vegas, Nevada, when a man allegedly stabbed an employee multiple times over a dispute about the gravy that came with his order. The attack left one worker seriously injured and sent shockwaves through the local community.

According to 8 News Now, the incident occurred at the KFC on Craig Road near Martin Luther King Boulevard on Saturday, December 27. Police say the altercation began when 32-year-old Gerald Carter became upset with his meal and, in a sudden escalation, stabbed the employee repeatedly in the back and side.

Authorities quickly located Gerald Carter and 48-year-old James Carter, who were walking away from the scene alongside several other people. Officers arrested both men, discovering a large knife in Gerald Carter’s pocket at the time of the arrest.

The complaint about gravy quickly turned into a violent attack

Both Gerald and James Carter now face charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. The injured employee was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have not disclosed the current condition of the victim but confirmed that the investigation into the violent incident is ongoing.

A witness told police that Gerald Carter got upset about his gravy from KFC and wanted to talk to a manager. At some point during the conversation, Gerald Carter felt that the staff had disrespected him. This is when things got out of control.

Both Gerald Carter and James Carter went behind the KFC counter and started fighting with employees. The situation escalated from a simple complaint about food into a violent attack that left one worker with stab wounds. This isn’t the first time KFC has faced public backlash over controversial incidents involving customers.

When police questioned Gerald Carter, he admitted to fighting with an employee but said he did not stab anyone. He claimed the employee was calling him names and disrespecting him before the fight started.

Both men were taken to the North Las Vegas jail. On Tuesday, Judge Jonathan Cooper set bail at $100,000 for Gerald Carter and $10,000 for James Carter. If they post bail, they will have to wear an ankle monitor as ordered by the court.

KFC released a statement saying safety is their top priority. The company said they are working closely with the franchise owner of this location and cooperating with police as the investigation continues.
