Starbucks worker does things they’ve ‘never done before’ on last day. The frozen apron is just the beginning

Every Starbucks employee has thought about doing this.

A Starbucks worker went viral on TikTok after posting a video of the strange things they did on their last day at work. The video, posted by TikToker Emma (@emmatolley), has gotten over 500,000 views and shows several things the worker says they had never done before while working at the coffee shop.

The TikTok video starts with Emma putting their hands into a metal container full of mocha syrup. The thick brown syrup covers their hand completely, and they leave a handprint on the back of the sink. Then, the worker makes what they call a “forbidden brownie” using pressed coffee with whipped cream and caramel on top. But after taking a bite of the strange mix, they gag and spit it out right away.

One viewer left a comment on the video saying “You just let the intrusive thoughts win,” pointing out how Emma seemed to do everything they had always wanted to try while working there but never did. The caption on the video says, “Couldn’t find the keys to the haunted basement or that would’ve been included.”

Other Starbucks workers wish they had done the same

The video connected with many former Starbucks workers who talked about their own regrets about not making the most of their last day. One person commented, “I wish I’d thought to do some funny shit like this on my last day, but instead I snuck out an entire bottle of caramel brulee. Somehow didn’t think to grab mocha chips on the way out, y’know, the thing I’ve been dying to eat a handful of since I started working there.”

Emma also showed viewers other weird things from their final shift. They opened the freezer to show their Starbucks apron, which they had frozen into a solid, flat piece. The video also has footage of what Emma calls the “scary” back door of the store, which goes to a dark basement that looks like something from a horror movie.

At the end of their shift, Emma put their name tag in what they called the “fallen partner graveyard,” which is a spot where name tags from past workers who left the store are kept. The word “partner” is what Starbucks calls its workers. Just like the salesman who was shocked by what a Bentley buyer pulled up in, Emma’s surprising actions caught many viewers off guard. The video has started talks online about work culture and the things workers think about doing but never really do while on the job. Some viewers thought the video was fun and praised Emma for being creative, with one person saying, “I really need to up my bucket list game.” Similar to the Toyota Supra owner who made a big mistake at the gas pump, Emma’s video shows what happens when someone decides to do something different.
