Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Beta Starts Today

The one complaint many of us had with Just Cause 2 is that there wasn’t any opportunity to enjoy the madness with a friend. The single player campaign was great and all, but I defy you to find one person who wasn’t itching to ram their buddy with a jet. Thankfully, a dedicated team of modders has been hard at work for the past two years trying to find a way to add some multiplayer to the game.

It’s still not quite done, but starting at 4 AM EST on Saturday, players can join in on an open beta to enjoy the symphony of destruction with a few friends.  You can download the beta here when it goes live, but just to be clear you need to own a legitimate copy of Just Cause 2 for your PC in order for this to work.

Check out the official site for some tips on how to get the beta running well, but bear in mind that this is an actual beta, not a glorified demo.  You’re going to run into some bugs that still need ironing out.

I say this with as much love as I can possibly muster; I can’t wait for the opportunity to throw you from a moving helicopter.  See you at the Mile High Club!
