Action adventure role-playing crossover extravaganza Final Fantasy Explorers has a new gameplay trailer, and you’re bound to see more than just a couple of familiar faces within it. Among others, Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII and Yuna the master Summoner are the three main series icons to be featured in the short clip, also showcasing their unique powers and abilities.
There’s a total of 11 playable characters available in Final Fantasy Explorers, each one having their own unique style of play and spanning the entire history of the Final Fantasy series.
You’ll be able to partake in the adventures of the handheld, fan-focused title yourself come January 29 and, if you’re willing to part with a little bit of extra cash, there’s a Collector’s Edition of the game due to be released on the same date that features an exclusive 3DS hard case, a CD containing the game’s soundtrack, a 40-page art book and a slew of unlockable in-game gear and missions.
If that sounds like your jam, you’ll want to act fast – Square Enix have said the special edition is only available in limited quantities.
