Amazon Customers Name No Man’s Sky As Most Anticipated Game Of 2016

A poll sent out by Amazon asking customers what their most anticipated game of 2016 is has yielded some interesting results, to say the least. Emerging at the peak of the list is No Man's Sky which, despite having been delayed for a month, seems to still be on the minds of many gamers who can't wait to explore its universe. Following up as a close second is World War I shooter Battlefield 1, which is in a good position to take the crown of 2016's best shooter.

Mafia 3 and FIFA 17 take the next two spots, but after that, things get a little weird. The likes of Ghost Recon Wildlands, Mass Effect Andromeda and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild all feature on the list too, but none of them are actually due to release until 2017.

The post on Amazon’s website reads:

We asked Amazon customers to vote for their most anticipated games of the year and you voted in your thousands. We’ve heard the passion and the dedication to gaming in your comments and have assembled the official, Amazon customers’ top ten most anticipated games of 2016.

Amazon may have overlooked the fact that the result is supposed to comprise of games releasing in 2016, or it could just simply be a case of there not actually being that many big name titles coming out over the rest of the year. Whatever the case may be, you can see the full list below.

10. Mass Effect Andromeda
9. Watch Dogs 2
8. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
7. Final Fantasy XV
6. Ghost Recon Wildlands
5. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
4. FIFA 17
3. Mafia 3
2. Battlefield 1
1. No Man’s Sky
