When the PS Store updates later this evening Anomaly Warzone Earth will join BioShock 2, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, and Rochard as the fourth title added to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection this month. Anyone else having trouble keeping up with their PSN backlog?

For those unfamiliar with Anomaly Warzone Earth, our very own Chaz Neeler summed it up in his XBLA review earlier this year as “the best tower defense game to ever not be a tower defense game”. The title is set in a “near-future Earth” where alien invaders have captured all of the world’s major cities. As the leader of the 14th platoon you are tasked with finding the safest and fastest route through the enemy defenses in order to crush the alien forces. Anomaly Warzone Earth‘s developer, 11 bit studios, calls it a “reversed tower defense” game or “tower offense”. Check out the PSN trailer embedded at the bottom of this article to get a taste of the unique title.
