Remember when Battle Pass 1 was tipped for a release on March 12th? That’s no longer the case, and there is now evidence to suggest that the first major Apex Legends content drop has been delayed.
A number of tweets by @Shrugtal (h/t Dexerto) appear to suggest that Battle Pass 1 really was planned for launch on March 12th, and has been delayed for reasons unknown. The clip below clearly shows that “some items in the Apex Pack have not been authorized in game yet,” indicating that some of the Battle Pass 1 content is on the verge of release.
Respawn is yet to officially acknowledge this strange Apex Legends bug, though it seems pretty clear that the studio had initially planned to release Battle Pass 1 earlier this month, and chose to delay the content drop at the 11th hour.
See for yourself:
Saw a support conversation that basically said that the reason this occurs is Octane items being added to the loot list, and that you'll have access to them when Octane is released. On a unrelated note, Octane's legendary finisher is called Full Throttle.

Apex Legends data-miner @Shrugtal is of the belief that Battle Pass 1 really should’ve been live by now. Nevertheless, to their credit, Respawn provided a brief status report just last week, when the studio also took the opportunity to warn players against data-mining.
We’ll be providing details on Season 1, Battle Pass, and the next Legend very soon. It’s not coming out today.
There’s lots of stuff that has been datamined from Apex since launch and is swirling around the Internet. We know this stuff is fun to dig up and speculate about, but you should not treat any of that info as a source of truth. There’s stuff in there that is very old, or things we’ve tried in the past and cut–remember our design process is to prototype and play lots of ideas–and some of it may be things we’re still building for Apex Legends.
Still no sign of a specific launch date for Battle Pass 1 just yet, but we’ll keep you right up-to-date as Apex Legends prepares for its first major content drop.
