Apex Legends Season 2’s Legendary Skins Look Incredible

Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment took to the stage at EA Play last weekend to address fans of the battle royale around the world. As outlined previously, the entire segment was dedicated to unravelling the secrets of Season 2, not just to present its new content, but the wealth of improvements that will arrive alongside it. Additional character Wattson and the long-awaited addition of a competitive Ranked mode represent just two of the brand new features headed to King's Canyon on July 2, but what of those aforementioned - and much needed - improvements to existing content?

In case you missed it, we’ve already extensively covered the adjustments being made to Apex‘s progressions systems over here, though the general takeaway is a vastly improved Battle Pass. Among other tweaks, Season 2’s version of the paid-for content will do away with mundane Stat Tracker rewards and replace them entirely with must-have cosmetics. Trust us when we say you won’t want to miss out on grabbing some of these goodies.

See below for just a sample of what to expect:

No, your eyes don’t deceive you – that’s Caustic alright, and he’s sporting what appears to be a medieval-themed suit of armor. As one of Apex‘s tankiest characters, the visual makeover he’s received in this concept art couldn’t be more suited. This is but one of four legendary skins that will be unlockable in Season 2 and has us incredibly excited to see the remaining three. If they follow the same pattern of quality as that above, Apex‘s premium costume swaps will finally be worthy of their name.

The same goes for weapons, too. Both the Spitfire and R301 assault rifle are to get their own custom paint jobs, the latter of which is getting two. This likely means that both will be placed on the upper end of Season 2’s Battle Pass rewards, but with Respawn promising a much lighter grind than Wild Frontier, it shouldn’t be too much of a mountain to climb.

Anyway, expect further reveals for Apex Legends Season 2’s cosmetics as we inch ever closer to release and be sure to let us know in the comments below which of the new cosmetics is currently your favourite.
