What you see above you is the only piece of concept art we have for the untitled project that Square Enix is working on, open for tons of speculation and interpretation.

It certainly fits what was said about it, having a western or medieval vibe about it. I’m getting a distinct Castlevania feeling from this concept art. It’s very dark, with a lot of reddish tones. Except of course the giant freakin’ snowy owl in the middle of the picture.

Square also let live the site looking for skilled developers to help out with the project (which is all in Japanese, so I’m relying on Google Translate here.) The site calls for people familiar with developing games on the XBOX 360 and PS3, which isn’t terribly surprising, and people who are specifically familiar with action-based games.
