Ubisoft has revealed the details for the Limited Edition of Assassin's Creed IV. In terms of extras, this one falls somewhere between "meh" and "skip." What you'll get is the following: "an 18" statue featuring Edward Kenway, a 28" x 48" Assassin's Creed pirate flag, 80-page art book, steelbook game case, and the full soundtrack."

When it comes to Limited/Collector’s/Special editions, you’re either into them or not. Personally, for the most part, I opt to just pick up the standard edition of any given game. Unless there’s something really awesome being included, or a great incentive being offered, I’d rather save my money.

On that note, Ubisoft has revealed the details for the Limited Edition of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. In terms of extras, this one falls somewhere between “meh” and “skip.” What you’ll get is the following:  “an 18″ statue featuring Edward Kenway, a 28″ x 48” Assassin’s Creed pirate flag, 80-page art book, steelbook game case, and the full soundtrack.”

There’s nothing here that I particularly care for and even for hardcore fans of the series, I can’t see anything that would be worth the extra money. Maybe the figurine? Then again, some people just enjoy collecting and want to have the best edition of their games, despite what the extras are.

The Limited Edition of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for $129.99. It will hit store shelves on October 29th, 2013 and you can put in your pre-order here.
