According to leaked marketing materials obtained by Polygon, the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will now be known as Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Previously leaked documents had the release going under the Victory subtitle, but it appears that Ubisoft has decided to shift directions.

The previous leak on Syndicate had revealed that the franchise would be moving to Victorian London for the upcoming outing and will star an assassin known as Jacob Frye. Furthermore, we heard that the game will “transport millions of gamers to an astonishing recreation of London during the Industrial Revolution where they will find themselves immersed in a game world they’ll have to see to believe.” The leaked documents also reveal one of the pre-order bonuses: a replica shilling necklace, which looks like the one Jacob Frye wears in the game.

As is typical for the franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is currently slated to launch this fall and will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.

While I’m sure that Ubisoft isn’t thrilled about this information leaking, the game was set to be officially revealed next week regardless. The promise of a new setting is definitely welcome, but until the publisher can guarantee that this entry won’t be a broken mess at launch, gamers are most likely going to be wary of the franchise for a little bit. And rightfully so.
