The Avengers: Battle For Earth Is A Motion Game Destined For Kinect And Wii U

When we originally reported on The Avengers: Battle for Earth, details regarding the potential game were nonexistent. All we had to go on was a registered domain and the server on which it was being held. However, after a few days of intrigue-filled waiting, we can now tell you that the in-development licensed title is a Kinect and Wii-U motion game, which will be available this fall.

The Avengers: Battle For Earth will feature twenty unique characters from the Marvel universe, including iconic heroes and villains. As a result, it will provide superhero fans with their first opportunity to physically interact with some of the company’s most popular and revered creations.

Game Marks First Time that Marvel Universe Will Be Available on Kinect™ for Xbox360® and Nintendo Wii™ U™ Motion Platforms

MONTRÉAL — May 10, 2012 — Today, Ubisoft® announced a deal with Marvel Entertainment, LLC to develop a video game based on the popular Avengers characters and other heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth’s interactive environments are inspired by iconic Marvel comic artwork and the Secret Invasion storyline. This game will be released this fall for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft with Kinect™ for Xbox360 and Nintendo’s Wii™ U™ system.

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth features 20 different characters, including Avengers such as Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor, as well as other fan-favorite Super Heroes and Super Villains from the Marvel Universe.
