After making a terrifying surprise appearance at Sony’s E3 2014 press conference, the Scarecrow will officially make his return to the world of gaming in both Batman: Arkham Knight and its PlayStation 4 exclusive DLC.

Revealed via a listing on the Official PlayStation website, the “Scarecrow Nightmare” pack will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 when Batman: Arkham Knight launches. As is typical with the psychotic villain, the Scarecrow’s nightmare-inducing toxins have once again made their way into the city of Gotham. The official description reveals a little bit more about what will take place over the course of these missions.

Gotham falls victim to Scarecrow’s fear toxin, transforming the famous city into a twisted, hellish nightmare in the Batman: Arkham Knight Scarecrow Nightmare Pack. Tear through the city in the all-new Batmobile and face off against a towering vision of Scarecrow and his undead army as they spread terror on the streets, available exclusively on Playstation 4.

While this content does sound very similar to previous encounters with the Scarecrow, outside of the presence of the Batmobile that is, I’m sure Rocksteady has plenty up their sleeves in order to ensure that this experience will be as fresh as it was back when we got blasted with fear toxin for the very first time.

Batman: Arkham Knight will hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC in 2015.
