With the first DLC hero now available to season pass holders and heading to the general public next week, Gearbox have revealed Battleborn‘s next addition. Known as Pendles, the next hero to be added to the online shooter is a sinister snake armed with a bone-axe and decked out with sneakers.
Pendles comes from the same world as the game’s first DLC hero Alani, and Gearbox have given a brief introduction to the character:
Hailing from the water world of Akopos, and pals with Alani, Pendles is a cold-blooded killer. No, literally. This anthropomorphised reptile will ssssneak up on you, poison you, perforate you with dual kamas then – poof – disappear without leaving a trace. Oh, yeah, and he wears a dope pair of sneakers. Get it? “Ssssneaky”?!? Wears sneakers?!? (Fine…fine.) This Rogue’s rogue may be a cold-blooded assassin-for-hire, but Ghalt felt it was safer to have him on the team, than not.
Nothing else is know about Pendles’ abilities in-game at present, and no release date is confirmed for his arrival. For now, we are just told that he will cost 47,500 credits, or one hero key if you’re a season pass holder.
