Battlefield 3: Armored Kill is the latest multiplayer DLC for one of the best shooters of 2011. The content includes five new vehicles and two new maps, one of which is being touted as the largest in the series history.

The video for the DLC is everything one would expect from Battlefield 3. There’s a ton of shooting, explosions and vehicular combat, turning it into something that will definitely make players salivate.

Armored Kill is exactly what it sounds like; driving around in tanks, APCs, choppers, jets and the brand new gunship which lets players rain death from above. To go along with the vehicle theme, a new mode is being added called Tank Superiority, which will task players with gaining control of key areas of the map.

From what is shown in the video, the DLC will be worth it for the players that love Battlefield 3‘s vehicular combat. Many instances of tanks, jeeps and APCs fighting on the ground while jets, choppers and gunships are battling in the sky are shown.

Both of the new maps, the Alborz Mountain and the Bandar Desert, look very distinct from one another. The mountain map features a frozen lake for players to drive on as well as bunkers and outposts for them to hide within. The Bandar Desert, the biggest map in Battlefield history, looks like it’s going to live up to its description. It looks epic in scope and provides plenty of room for the new vehicles to operate within.

DICE have done a good job keeping the DLC as regular as possible, and Battlefield 3: Armored Kill looks like another great addition to an already stellar multiplayer component. It is due to release in September, but Premium Members will get access to it two weeks earlier than everyone else.
