BioShock Infinite Sells More Than 4 Million Copies

Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has announced that BioShock Infinite has sold over 4 million units since releasing back in March. This reveal isn't at all surprising, considering the game received overwhelmingly positive reviews and will likely go on to snag a number of Game of the Year awards. Still, surprising or not, it's always nice to hear when a great game sells an impressive amount of units.

Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has announced that BioShock Infinite has sold over 4 million units since releasing back in March.

This reveal isn’t at all surprising, considering the game received overwhelmingly positive reviews and will likely go on to snag a number of Game of the Year awards. Still, surprising or not, it’s always nice to hear when a great game sells an impressive amount of units and as a fan of the series, I’m happy to hear that it’s doing so well.

Check out Zelnick’s quote below.

BioShock Infinite is North America’s best-selling multiplatform release so far this year, according to NPD,” Zelnick said during an investor conference call. “The title has crossed the 4 million units selling mark, and we expect it to become the top-selling release in the BioShock franchise.”

If you haven’t already heard, there’s more BioShock Infinite content coming our way shortly. In fact, a new piece of DLC dropped yesterday and there’s even more in the works, so don’t trade in your disc just yet. Of course, if you’ve still yet to play the game, we highly recommend you do so. It’s one of the most impressive videogames that’s been released in some time and is well worth the purchase.

Tell us, are you pleased to see BioShock Infinite selling so well? Will you be picking up the DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
